Production companies are regularly attracted to the venue with dramas such as "Mortimer's Law" and "Jack of Hearts" being shot in and around the Hall. "The Exchange Programme" with Huw Edwards was devised for and ran several successful series from the hall. The Coal Exchange has also hosted auditions for Model Behaviour and Big Brother.

Torchwood staged its Mutant Cage - Fight scenes in the hall, and, latterly, transformed it into the Whitehall corridors of power for "Children Of The Damned.

In 2007, for the Dr. Who Christmas special with Kylie Minogue, the Coal Exchange became the Titanic Ballroom.

Latest shoots include scenes for "Mr Nice" "Sherlock" and "Carwyn".

Live concerts for T. V. and Radio, Trailers for S4C, Period dramas and speciality programme's including Miss Wales have all taken advantage of The Coal Exchanges' special ambience, flexibility and ease of access. There is good power provision and adequate parking for O. B. vehicles.

All this, coupled with a user-friendly staffing policy have made the Coal Exchange an increasingly popular location for film, television and radio majors and independents.
